The suspect was traced and was found in possession of an unlicensed firearm.
A 21-year old man was arrested for possession of an unlicensed firearm in Protea Glen Extension Four.
Mashiteng said a man and his girlfriend were sitting in the house and two of his friends came to the house. One of them wanted to smoke drugs in the house and he refused and the man became angry and they both left.
“The friend came back and found him in the yard and he then pointed him with a firearm and he quickly ran into the house and locked the doors. The suspect left without firing any shot,” said Mashiteng.

The police were called and they responded quickly as well.
The suspect was traced and was found in possession of an unlicensed firearm of which according to Mashiteng, the firearm was a shotgun known as pumpgun with serial numbers filed off.
The suspect was arrested for possession of an unlicensed firearm and he will also appear in the Protea Magistrate’s court.
