75-year-old woman raped and killed in Diepkloof Zone 1

A manhunt has been launched for the men or women who could be responsible for the murder of the 75-year-old.

The people from Diepkloof Zone One were left distraught when a 75-year-old lady was found dead in her house.

The Police from Diepkloof SAPS made their way to the house where the elderly lady was reported dead and the case was taken for an inquest.

The Spokesperson for Diepkloof SAPS, Captain Phephi Matlou-Mteto explained that after the case was taken for the inquest, as the reason for the 75-year-old’s death was unknown, the results returned and determined that the old lady was raped and strangled to death.

Matlou-Mteto said, “The plot thickened and twisted as the case had to be converted to rape and murder, now we are looking for one of the deceased grandsons to help us figure out what happened to the 75-year-old.”

Captain Phephi Matlou-Mteto explained that during the inquest (a judicial inquiry to ascertain the facts relating to an incident) into the case, it was discovered that the 79-year-old lady was raped and strangled before she was murdered.

A manhunt has been launched for the men or women who could be responsible for the murder of the 75-year-old  however, the police are also looking for one of the grandson’s who is rumoured to have quarrelled with the 75-year-old before she was reported dead and before the grandson disappeared.

Matlou-Mteto said, “We are very distraught about the 75-year-old’s death and we have and will do everything in our power to make sure that the perpetrators answer for their cold-hearted sins.”
