Eldorado Park attempted murder suspect nabbed

The communications officer also confirmed the firearm was seized and handed in sap13.

A 30 year old male suspect was arrested for attempted murder and possession of an unlicensed fiream in Sand street Eldorado Park on Saturday evening, September 21.

According to Eldorado Park communications officer, Constable Roxanne Gibb, the incident happened around 23:30pm.

Gibb said that it is alleged that the complainant was walking with his friend when a known male who was driving a polo suddenly got out of his vehicle and hit the victim with a black firearm on the back of his head.

“A friend who was accompanying the victim managed to stop the suspect and he drove off,” said Constable Gibb.

“Later, the victim was informed that the suspect was at a local tavern. The victim then went to the tavern to ask the suspect why he hit him with a firearm and within a few seconds the suspect started shooting at the victim, who then ran away. It is further alleged that two bullets missed him and that his friend was shot in the leg,” Gibbs added.

The communications officer also confirmed the firearm was seized and handed in sap13. The suspect is being detained for further investigation.
