Women Talk Extravaganza in the Greater Eldorado Park community

The underlying message of the day by Reddi was, "Women are powerful, so you must go out and create your opportunity."

Wo-Man Talk Impact hosted a Women Talk Extravaganza at the Albertus Pop Centre. The event is said to be the final free Women Talk event for women in the Greater Eldorado Park community this year. Hope Jourd, who is one of the co-founders said that these events aim to get women from the community to engage in dialogue.

The session was opened with breakfast and meditation before the guest speaker Prenita Reddi, the esteemed author of the book “Transforming Mrs to Ms”, spoke about women in business as well as her journey moving up the ranks. Two copies of her debut book were handed out as prizes on the day.

Other issues explored during the session include Emotional Baggage by Carla Stoltenkamp, who is a qualified teacher by profession and found success despite having to raise two boys by herself.

The beauty of a woman was discussed by Ruth Goudon who underlined the essentials of health and personal care necessary for holistic beauty, both inside and out.

The underlying message of the day by Reddi was, “Women are powerful, so you must go out and create your opportunity.” A sentiment which was echoed by Stoltenkamp, who said she grew up believing that women must be seen and not heard, that is until she grew to find her voice later in life.

Additional prizes including manicures, health packs and several other gifts were given to lucky individuals who attended the event.

The lucky ladies were treated to their manicures on the day by Daniéelle Wade from Nailed it by Dani and were treated to lunch as well as music.

The event was hosted by the founder and CEO of Women Talk and now NGO Wo-Man Talk Impact, Priscilla Maart, co-founders Jesse Maart and Hope Jourd. Together, the trio is organising other events including Couple Talk and a Women Talk Masquerade Ball.
