The newly refurbished Soweto Country Club, the only golf course in Soweto, based in Pimville was officially opened on August 30
Finally, Golfers in and around Soweto will soon enjoy golf games like the acclaimed golfing legend, Gary Player, as the refurbishment of the Soweto Country Club is finally complete.

Speaking at the event, the Executive Mayor of the City of Johannesburg, Cllr. Herman Mashaba said that the golf course will bot only be about golf, but will also catalyze to develop the community as well as creating job opportunities.
The opening of this beautiful golf course saw the Mayoral Charity Golf Day being hosted and local caddies benefit from this golf day.
According to Justice Matshaya of the Soweto Country Club’s, the club has been creating jobs for young people in the community and currently, most casual caddies are now employed at the club.
The golf course is set to officially open for the public on September 7.
