Diepkloof Square supports Female Hustlers

Lebo Matlala of Diepkloof Square elaborated that the market for the ladies was in celebrating Women’s Month.

Woman’s Month gave us the chance to witness women doing great things, like the women who set up their stalls at Diepkloof Square for the Iyathile Events, Women’s Month Market.

The Manager for Diepkloof Square, Jabulani Sibiya explained that the market was solely put in place by female entrepreneurs to support the female entrepreneurs from the communities surrounding the center.

Lebo Matlala of Diepkloof Square elaborated that the market for the ladies was in celebrating Women’s Month.

Matlala said, “To celebrate our ladies during their month of August, Diepkloof Square partnered with Iyathile Events and female entrepreneurs in helping the entrepreneurs get exposure for their businesses because we believe so much in their businesses.”

The female entrepreneurs went to set up at the center and young and vibrant entrepreneurs like Lorraine Mataboge and Lebo Sathekge went to set up their pop up stores at the center and Sathekge exclaimed that she considers herself as an entrepreneur to reckon with and that, “Ever since I took the courage to do my own thing, I have been feeling a sense of liberation. We are women doing it for ourselves.”

Gloria Mboya is another entrepreneur who went to network and market her business and services during the Iyathile Events, Women’s Month Market, travelling all the way from Snake Park, she said, “We have to stand up as women and help each other stand firm as we do it for ourselves.”

Matlala said, “We will be giving away more opportunities for our local entrepreneurs even in future because we always help with the hope that their growing businesses will have at least one store at the center.”
