Clinical-Psychologist Dr Haroon Essa said that Nomsa Mbuyisa had depression

"The deceased had problems with her ex-boyfriend and she was going to kill herself." - Clinical-Psychologist Dr. Haroon Essa.

The trial of murder-accused Sipho Hector Mdletshe continued on August 15 at Palm Ridge Magistrate Court in Thokoza- East Rand.

Mdletshe is accused of killing his ex-girlfriend Nomsa Mbuyisa.

The Palm Ridge Magistrate Court heard from one of the doctors from Diepkloof, where Mbuyisa got counselling.

The Psychologist- Clinical Dr Haroon Essa said that Nomsa Mbuyisa had depression.  “The deceased had problems with her ex-boyfriend and she was going to kill herself.”

The Social Worker Thembi Ntombela also took the stand, she read the report that she compelled when Mbuyisa was her patient.

The Court also heard testimony from Mdletshe. Defence Counsel asked Mdletshe to describe his relationship with Mbuyisa which Mdletshe said it was a good relationship.

He said that the deceased was the mother of his children and been together for 23 years.

The alleged murderer told the court what happened on May 30 2018. “I saw Nomsa, Mthunzi and Dumisani and I greeted them. when I wanted to talk with Nomsa, Dumisani refused and he pulled me with the clothes and I raised my hands.

My gun appeared and he took the gun and we fought for it, while we were fighting for it two or three bullets were shot. I said look what you have done and he dropped the gun down and ran away and I took the gun and shot him in the leg because I was angry. I never pointed Mthunzi with a gun, he is lying.”

“I was angry and I drove to Snake Park and I was arrested by Metro Police Officers and they took my firearm and took me to the crime scene.”

State Advocate then took the stand to cross-examine Mdletshe. She said that Mdletshe never showed remorse.  “How do you know that I am not remorseful and you don’t know the pain that I am feeling because only God knows how I’m feeling, said Mdletshe.

The alleged murderer Mdletshe has denied allegations that he killed Nomsa Mbuyisa and pointed Mthunzi Mbuyisa with a gun.

Despite pleading not guilty to all charges, Mdletshe had admitted to unlawfully firearm and shooting Dumisani Mbuyisa.

He had claimed that Mbuyisa was killed by Dumisani Mbuyisa.

Mdletshe is facing charges of murder, two attempted murder, unlawfully firearm and unlawfully ammunition.
