Breakfast with Entle Dumbuza to empower women

Lonwabo Lwesizwe is committed to creating youth platforms for development by exposing them to appropriate skills and activities.

Lonwabo Lwesizwe (LL), a non-profit, voluntary organisation based in Devland invited women from the community to enjoy breakfast at the NT2 pub in Adventure Street, Devland.

The event was initiated by community activist and LL founder Paris Makaringe in hopes to empower women and create bonds between them.

“It was more than just having breakfast. I wanted to create a platform where women could come together, share stories, learn from one another and get to know one another,” said Makaringe. “And that is why I invited Entle Dumbuza to join us,” he added.

Entle Dumbuza who is the founder and CEO of EntleD International Marketing Hub, co-owner of New You beauty salon, former TV presenter, Radio Host, Speaker, Author, Facilitator, Entrepreneur and Venture Capitalist addressed those who attended and encouraged them to get to know their true self.

“You need to be relentless about the things you want for yourself. You need to work hard, be persistent and stay focused on your path. The minute you start worrying about what other people are doing that’s when you lose track of yourself and your vision,” said Dumbuza.

“I am a servant of God and I am committed to positively changing the lives of his people,” she added.

After breakfast was served, Dumbuza took to the floor and shared her life experiences with those who attended.

“At Lonwabo Lwesizwe, we have bi-annual women events which happen in March and August so this breakfast was smaller than our usual events but I believe that an impact was made. Our next event will be on August 31,” said Makaringe.

Lonwabo Lwesizwe is committed to creating youth platforms for development by exposing them to appropriate skills and activities.

With substance abuse and crime so prevalent in the community, LL aims to promote a goal-orientated youth through creating platforms in scarce sectors. The organization also aims to be a united, non-racial, non-sexist; and furthermore, establish branches within the identified areas to better social services and social cohesion.
