Man wanted by the Diepkloof police for alleged attempted murder

The spokesperson said that it is rare that there would be any witnesses because the incident took place around 1 AM in the middle of the night.

The police in Diepkloof are looking for the man who shot and almost killed another man in Diepkloof Zone Six.

The spokesperson for Diepkloof SAPS, Captain Phephi Matlou-Mteto explained that the man who was shot twice has recovered in hospital and that the incident is being investigated.

Matlou-Mteto said, “It is alleged that while three men were accompanying two women at night in Diepkloof Zone 6, they had to pass a group of men and one man from the group attempted to grab one accompanied woman, for whatever reason, but one man from the accompanying three didn’t hesitate to open fire and shot the one man twice.”

A case of attempted murder has been opened and the police are investigating the identity of the man who opened fire and the identities of the two girls and the other men who were in company.

The police are still investigating the case and have appealed to anyone from the community who may have any information about the incident to go forth and help shed the light for the police so they can crack it.

The spokesperson said that it is rare that there would be any witnesses because the incident took place around 1 AM in the middle of the night, however, there may be someone who saw the incident and if so, people can call the police on 079 890 7087 to help them bring the culprit into justice and perhaps lessen the number of illegal firearms in the community.
