“This project enables us to build affordable quality houses that people can afford because we are challenged by migration and Joburg is not the only affected city but I believe that we are doing well in Joburg and I wish other cities can implement this project,” he continued.

“This project will benefit the community members of Lufhereng including with jobs everything has to be transparent and if otherwise we should be held to account,” said Mashaba.

EFF PR councillor Johannes Masehla requested community members to protect this project as it stands to benefit them and also touching on the method used to allocate houses.

EFF PR councillor Johannes Masehla address the people.

“This must be done differently from the past we can’t have houses built and people having to wait for over five years before they are allocated houses,“ said Masehla.

The project forms part of ‘Mixed Integrated Housing Development’ and the project is estimated to take a period of 24 months.
