Three young men wanted in connection with the alleged murder of a 19-year-old
19-year-old learners life cut short.
While the community of Diepkloof is distraught and saddened, the police are looking for three young men in connection with the murder of the 19-year-old just at the passage between Namedi Secondary School and Madibane Hgh School known as Lover’s Park.
The Spokesperson for Diepkloof SAPS, Captain Phephi Matlou-Mteto said that a murder case has been launched at the station after it was reported that at around 11:30 PM, two Saturday nights ago a young boy was gunned down in an armed robbery that turned into a homicide.
Matlou-Mteto said, “It is alleged that while the three friends were passing by the open space called Lover’s Park between the schools, another group of three men approached them and one of the three men took out a gun.”

It is alleged that upon seeing the gun, one of the friends did not even waste any time to flee, the two friends remained behind starring at the guys with the gun as if starring at the face of death, the spokesperson for Diepkloof SAPS said,
“The case is under investigation though because it is still unclear as to what really happened, however, we have gathered that the gun man asked the two boys to lay on the floor and while they were on the floor, he opened fire to one of the boys who lost his life not too long after.”
The three men allegedly searched the other young man who must have been frightened to death after his friend was shot right in front of him before they figured that his phone was not worth it and ran after the friend who took off in the beginning.
Matlou-Mteto said, “It is very sad that a young man’s life was cut short because of crime, we are appealing to anyone in the community who has any information that could help the police bring the perpetrators into justice to please come forward.”
