Siphokazi returns to the music scene with a bang

Afro-fusion artist, Siphokazi, will be breaking boundaries this woman’s day in a South African first where she will be live streaming her concert.

The concert will be embracing the fourth industrial revolution as it will provide music lovers with an opportunity to live stream the event which will be by invite only. It will be held at Montecasino and will feature a vast array of legendary musicians such as Yvonne Chaka Chaka, Bheki Khoza and Khaya Mahlangu.

“Everything has shifted to the digital space and we have to adjust and adapt to the fact that we are in the fourth industrial revolution and everyone should work towards that by educating themselves more,” said Siphokazi.

The event will also support the development of youth who are in the digital technology space as it will be hosted by Sollywood in partnership with the South African Digital Content Organisation (SADICO). SADICO has a reach far and wide in the country and is targeting to reach 5000 young people by August 9 2020.

The concert will not only focus on young people in the digital space but will also provide a platform for black creatives to showcase their talent.

The show will use local fashion designers, stage managers, web developers and technical engineers. Siphokazi said one of her passions is empowering the youth which is why she was keen to take this project on. She encourages local artists to look more into getting their music on digital platforms as it reaches more people and can provide revenue for the artists.

Siphokazi was thrust into the spotlight when she released her hit single ‘Amacala’, she has recently returned to the music scene after taking a six year break to focus on her family. She released a song titled Ithemba to herald her back into the music scene.
