Service in Motion (SIM) hosted their seventh annual event which they refer to ‘Sharing the blessing like Madiba’

According to Sheldon Morgan who is the founder of the organisation, the feeding area in Zombie in Riverlea was our place of blessing.

“The day started with a praise and worship session then a word of encouragement by Pastor Gino. Everybody present then enjoyed a warm cup of soup served by the partners, Christ Centred Ministry, Volkwagon Cabriolet Owners Club (VCOC) and Judah Ministry.

Cyril Peterson, better known as Dafunc was again on hand to entertain the large crowd of people. They enjoyed his music while the children played various games arranged by SIM,” shared Morgan.

The founder then went on to explaining that just before lunch time, the boys from The Future Drummers Project displayed their talent on the drums.

According to Morgan, this display was to show the young children that there are better things to get involved in rather than getting involved with drugs.

“By lunch time, everyone was treated to a plate or two of tasty, ackney or Chicken and Dhal. The Survivors Senior Club then gave every one present a glass of juice. This has been the biggest sharing and most satisfying of the seven sharing’s.

“This year nearly 1500 plates of food was dished and all the partners appreciated the opportunity to make a little difference,” explained Morgan.

As the day concluded, VCOC handed every child a sweet pack and some fruit to go home with. Morgan shared that as servants they understand that it is God’s grace that allows them to continue to share the blessing and plans for 2020 have already begun.
