Youth Crime Prevention Desk (YCPD) at the Diepkloof SAPS looking for young people to join them in bringing positive change in their community

Why not join the youth desk now?

The unemployed youth of Diepkloof does not have to sit idly at home with Youth Crime Prevention Desk (YCPD) at the Diepkloof SAPS looking for young people to join them in bringing positive change in their community.

The crime prevention desks encourage and enable young people to participate actively in identifying the causes of youth violence and crime and to collaborate in creating social crime prevention strategies for their communities.

Neo Moreosele from the Diepkloof YCPD explained that the youth that would desire to join the crime prevention desk needs to be between the ages of 18 and 35 and that the only thing they need to carry to the police station in Diepkloof when applying is their CVs.

Moresele explained that the young people that are sought are the currently unemployed and the ones who desire to see crime decrease in their community.

Moresele said, “The youth should come forth in bringing the change they would like to see in their neighbourhood.”
The deputy secretary for Diepkloof CPF, Zenzile Tshabalala urged all unemployed people to join the recruitment.

Tshabalala said, “We urge the ones who may be at home doing nothing to join YCPD because we have various job opportunities that they can get.

“We just want to separate our youth from corruption because idle hands can be the devil’s muse.”

Tshabalala continued to motivate the ones without matric to go redo their matric so they can have bright prospects because the Grade 12 qualification is important in getting most jobs.

The youth that would like to join YCPD can visit the station in Diepkloof at room 14 or room 39 with their CVs.
Moresele said the youth can either ask for Thuli Mahlangu or Neo Moresele at the station.
