51-year-old man shot dead in Emndeni

The victim was declared dead on the scene.

At about 4:40 pm yesterday police received a complaint of a shooting that occurred at Zamakulungisa Street Emndeni. When the police arrived at the scene of the crime they found an African male (51) laying in a silver BMW that had crashed on the wall next to Zola clinic.

Upon further investigation, it was alleged by the witnesses that a Grey BMW was chased by a gold  Audi A4. As they drove next to Zola clinic along Zamakulungisa Street, the BMW crashed on the wall next to the clinic. The Audi driver stopped and fired shots on the driver of the BMW and then drove away.

The victim was declared dead on the scene. He sustained multiple injuries on the upper body and the car had bullet holes damaged windscreen.

During the incident, a bystander Toyota corolla quest was damaged on the front but there were no injuries sustained by the occupants.
The investigation on this case is underway and no suspect has been arrested.
