Meet the Drenckolizer.

Malungelo Kamango, who is known as Drenckoliser in the community has always been passionate about music. Born in Zola North Soweto, he grew up playing soccer in the streets of Dlamini.

“The people who grew up with me know me as a model. I started my modelling career at the age of 18. I became Mr Ibhongo secondary school and Mr Dlamini.

“My career took an interesting turn when I started focusing on writing music. I felt like I started becoming more of who I needed to be,” he said.

“In 2005 I met Skomplaas and was featured on their album that was released under Zola7 named Guluva entertainment.

“In 2006 I dropped my debut album produced by Kyllex and distributed by Ghetto Ruff. I have worked with the likes of Zola7, Pitch Black Afro, DJ Cleo and Jozi,” he added

Drencko’s debut album titled Drenckolizer produced by Kyllex was released in 2006 and his first single titled Sishay Amahoota was featured on the Award-winning South Africa movie, Tsotsi.
“2011 was a tragic year for me. I lost someone very close to me. It took me two years to find my feet again. In 2013 I established a Kwaito movement for local artists.

“I named the movement according to my stage name Drenckolizer. I wanted to create a platform for all musicians who feel that they need exposure.

“The aim is to build their artist profiles as well as encourage big artists to share stages and mentor these youngsters.

“We do not have sponsorship, we do everything from our own pockets. Our mission is to uplift one another, hustle and conquer the music industry as a unit,” he concluded.
