The Ntuli family in Meadowlands Zone 2 almost lost everything after their house was engulfed with fire

Mapule Ntuli who is a pensioner and lives with her grandchildren said her son left the candle on and while they were sleeping they just noticed that their house was covered with smoke.

The Ntuli family in Meadowlands zone 2 were woken up by community members who were trying to rescue their belongings as the house was on fire.

The community have been without electricity for three weeks now and over the weekend their house was engulfed with fire.

Mapule Ntuli who is a pensioner and lives with her grandchildren said her son left the candle on and while they were sleeping they just noticed that their house was covered with smoke.


Mapule Ntuli still shocked.

As she woke up to see what was happening already the fire was spreading and what she feared for was that there were two cylinders in the house and she managed to take them out so that they don’t cause more harm.

Ntuli added that her sons’ room is the one that is mostly affected because everything burnt down but she is grateful that there were no fatalities.

The community members were very helpful as some things they managed to save them even though his son and grandchild lost everything.

The family is asking for donations for their grandchild since he is attending Daycare.
