The Ndlovu family is appealing to the community to help them bury their daughter

Matric pupil dies in Naledi extension 2.

The Ndlovu family have lost their 17-year-old daughter in Naledi extension 2 and are struggling to bury her.

The family are hoping to have the funeral next Saturday and are currently in need of a round sum of R12 000 to pay the undertaker.

Reasoma Secondary School pupil, which is located in Protea North, Patricia Ndlovu passed away on Monday afternoon at her home in Naledi. The cause of her death is still unknown.

“She was fine the whole day and we didn’t suspect anything was wrong until 16:00 when her grandmother called me to help. We called the paramedics but she was already gone by the time they got there,” said Menge Ndlovu, the family’s next door neighbour.

She lived with her elderly grandmother who is a street hawker. “We want to give her a proper and dignified funeral where her schoolmates can also attend, that’s why we are appealing to the community to help,” said Jimmy Mogana, a concerned community member.

Patrica is remembered as a church loving, sweet young person who respected her elders. She wanted to become a social worker so she could help people.

Anyone who can assist the family is asked to contact Menge Ndlovu or Jimmy Magana on 074 628 5930 or 067 919 0761.
