“I am a humanitarian, an environmental conservationist, an eco-warrior, a change agent. I do a lot of charity to work, a lot of green work and I’m part of the Miss Earth programme and as part of a women empowerment programme we have to adopt a community which is close to our hearts and do a green and charitable work in the community.

“We also need to get the community involved especially the youth. My aim is to educate residents about keeping the environment clean, how to look after the earth and how to be a part of taking care of our planet in a fun way,” said Magro.

The Miss Earth Ambassador added that they will be taking this campaign to surrounding areas such as Bosmont, Westbury, Coronationville, Waterval.

“We are going to make it as big as possible so that people can all get involved. We going to try to go to schools so that we get children as young as possible involved in our campaign,” she said.

Magro would like to thank everyone who came out to assist with this campaign, to her friends who came out to support her, Shafiek Naidoo who helped her organise this campaign.

“A big thank you to Miss Earth South Africa and Elle Bella for this platform to be able to go into a community and make such a difference. Also a plea to the community to get involved in campaigns that are in the community because they will be benefiting from it,” Magro concluded.
