Protea Glen police are asking for the community’s help in apprehending a suspect in an open case

Man wanted in connection with pointing a firearm

Protea Glen SAPS is looking for man for allegedly pointing a gun at a complainant in a case opened on June 7 at the station.

The complainant was driving a red and black Toyota Ayo when a Grey VW polo with four male occupants was allegedly driving recklessly in front of her.

When she stopped at a red light in Glen Ridge two of the suspects approached her.

One allegedly strangled her while the other damaged her windscreen according to Protea Glen SAPS spokesperson Sergeant Vincent Mashiteng. The suspect in the picture is the one who is alleged to have pointed the firearm at the complainant.

The suspects fled the scene in grey VW Polo, the motor registration is unknown and an investigation to trace the suspects is currently underway.
