Baragwanath Hospital adds more CCTVs to protect patients

Family of Stolen baby will receive continuous counseling.

The Gauteng Department of Health has confirmed that after a newborn baby was stolen at Baragwanath Hospital in Diepkloof, more measures have been taken to make sure that every expecting mother at the Hospital is comfortable and confident.

Nkosiyethu Mazibuko, the Spokesperson for Baragwanath Hospital said  “We also would like to thank the community for giving the police the tip-off that led to the discovery of the baby.”

Mazibuko concluded that, “We realise that the incident was about the security of the hospital, so we have tightened our security measures and added more CCTV Cameras.”

After the people from Diepkloof heard about how a baby was stolen from the hospital and later discovered in Diepkloof Zone 3.

Eva Malope said, “We have to be more vigilant about our babies now even around the neighbourhood because the people who steal them are apparently from our same community.”

The newborn baby was found and is safe with the family.
