Kid Tini more ambitious at Ambitiouz Ent

Although his music gets published on platforms such as Itunes/Apple Music, Google Play, Tidal, Apple Music, Spotify and Deezer – Kid Tini still takes the time to read through comments posted by his listeners on YouTube.

The ‘Cinga’ hitmaker (Phiwe Unam Tini) who is from the Eastern Cape received huge praise following the release of this single’s music video. The song talks about every day social issues like teenage pregnancy, depression and suicide.

Tini said perusing what fans write to you as an artist helps better comprehend how they receive your music and the impact the song has on them.

This approach, according to the rapper, inspires him to write music that speaks directly to the people with a straightforward and clear-cut message.

Wedwa, which is Tini’s latest single – was released on May 9 by his record label Ambitiouz Entertainment. The song talks about failed relationships and the toned down lyrics feed the broken heart filled with regrets.

“Everyone has that person that they miss or never got quite right with. If I said it was about one specific person I’d be lying because it really is just a composition of all my encounters with the different women.

“I was just reflecting, thinking back on what I could have done better and what I should have done. You know the usual bra!”

Well, putting the song together proved rather easy for Tini – he did not concentrate too much time in prepping but woke up one morning and went into the studio.

When at the studio, he heard the instrument, began composing text and everything basically fell into place.

Nearing the 50 000 mark in views, Tini describes Wedwa as a radio-friendly, relatable and that it has a lot of vernacular (catering for all music enthusiasts).

“I recorded the song, sent it to the team and they loved it. We decided to have it released in the end. I am able to write both ways, I can listen to a beat or prep the lyrics and the beat follows,” said Tini.

When asked if there are any songs he’s working on that feature artists from his label, Tini said, “We have so much music. I’ve had a song with everybody but obviously, we are waiting for the right time to drop that kind of music.

“Some of the music is very new and it is not what they are used to when it comes to Kid Tini. We are just waiting for the right time. There’s a special project that we worked on and recently shot a music video for it. I cannot say who’s on the song but you will remember me when it drops,” he stated confidently.
