Heart warming blankets for the elderly at Soweto Home for the Aged and children at Othandweni Child Care Centre

67 Blankets for Mandela.

Alpha World Ministers Social Care Centre donated 67 Blankets for Nelson Mandela at Soweto Home for the Aged and Othandweni Child Care Centre.

The blankets knitted in honour of the 67 Blankets for Nelson Mandela Day. Alpha World Ministers Social Care Centre donated the blankets to ensure that those in needy are kept warm this winter.

Soweto Ambassador for 67 Blankets Pastor Maureen Sibadela said today it’s a special day to honour children and elderly people by giving them food and blankets.

“We wanted to donate early because everyone says Mandela Day should be everyday.”

“Let’s love and take care of each other. According to the word of God, Jesus is love and we should show everyone love,” added Pastor Sibadela.

Assistant Manager from Othandweni Child Care Centre Thoko Mnguni said, “Our children are very happy with the blankets and we are thankful for putting the smiles on the children’s face and for making sure that they are warm this winter.”

One of the Children said, “We are grateful and honoured for the colorful blankets.”
