Crafters and artists urged to enroll for a skills programme

Requirements include CV and a portfolio.

Siyavuka Lateral Improvement Foundation (SLIF) is a Non-Profit Organisation. The Non-Profit Organisation is based at Ipelegeng Community Centre in White City.

The main purpose of the Siyavuka Lateral Improvement Foundation (SLIF) is to assist artists and crafters who are capable of producing high-quality art products for artists and crafters to become self-sufficient and business orientated.

SLIF is offering a skills programme for unemployed and employed people. The skills programme will host the classes at George Tabor Campus in Dube.

According to Executive Director Lentswe Marthole the skills programme is designed to capacitate artists and crafters to understand global trends and know their talent must earn them a living by being business orientated and understanding the power of strategic collaboration.



“We are looking for people who are in this industry already and people who will produce quality work for art and crafts. We urge people to come with their Curriculum Vitae and evidence of portfolio. We only need 40 artists and crafters will be enrolled after extensive-vetting,” added Marthole.

The closing date for registration is on May 24 and the classes will start on June 2 at George Tabor Campus in Dube. People are urged to bring their Curriculum Vitae and evidence of portfolio.
