TS Galaxy crowned champions of the Nedbank cup

Kaizer Chiefs disappointed as they failed to add silverware to their cabinet.

The Nedbank Cup finals took place at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.

The Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs played against TS Galaxy for the 2018/19 Nedbankcup.

 

Despite moving from the seventh position in the Absa Premier League and ended up being in the ninth position with just 39 points.

 

The Soweto Giants hoped that they will be joining Cape Town City, Baroka and the league champions Mamelodi Sundowns since their last win in 2015, pity that did not happen as TS Galaxy claimed the glory.

Kaizer Chiefs fans, had hope that since they did not make it in the Absa Premier League, they they would win the Nedbank Cup.

During the first half TS Galaxy created chances and opportunities as they were showing hunger for a goal.

A penalty was given to TS Galaxy as Lerato Lepasa who managed to score a goal for his team. TS Galaxy registered their name on the scoreboard and ended the match with 0-1.

 

Man of match Nation Ndlovu said it is a blessing that they got a chance to play with a big team like Amakhosi.

Daniel Malesela, head coach was very proud of how his team was able to win and crowned champions of the Nedbank Cup.

 

Kaizer Chiefs coach Ernst Middendorp was very disappointed as he had aimed that they will take the Nedbank cup.

Both Kaizer Chiefs players and fans were disappointed and sad.
