Some hurried to voting stations from work yesterday

The queue was short and the process quite fast

People still made their way to vote at Asha Primary school in Emndeni South including those who just got back from work.

The queue was short and the process quite fast as well because the majority of the people went out to vote during the day.

Matshego Manare said her wish is for the party she voted for to improve libraries and parks for the safety of the children, she added that she is confident about the party she voted for.

Fikile Tshabalala said she hopes that the party she voted for will fulfil their needs, “we need jobs and a decrease in crime, “and companies should stop hiring us using agents because the money that we get is not enough, they should also provide people with houses following a proper manner,” said Tshabalala.

Noluthando Lithuli stated that she voted for the ANC and she is confident that they will deliver, “we must not focus on only the negative there are a lot of positive things that they have done for us, for example, I finished school studying for free,” said Lithuli.

She further stated that their community lacks youth development where the youth can participate, “like sports, its only soccer and there is nothing for girls that is the reason why they end up adopting bad habits and start smoking drugs like ‘Nyaope’,

“If we can get those programs where youth can engage with each other, share their struggles and advice each other,” said Lithuli.
