#IMadeMyMark: Diepkloof and Orlando voters cast their special ballots today

"South Africans are informed and have realised that voting is important for the progression of a country, " - Greg Schneemann.


Special voters went out  to cast their votes today in Diepkloof and Orlando with the help of IEC.

The Member of Parliament, Tsepo Mhlongo went out to vote as well today as a special voter at one of IEC’s voting stations in Orlando, Mhlongo took his three children to his voting station to serve as an example.

Mhongo said;  “I took my children out with me when I went to vote because I wanted them to see and experience me vote for a fair party that will ensure that their future is secured and bright as South Africans.

“My vote is not a secret, I have voted for the DA.”

Mhlongo explained that he had to vote on May 7 as a special voter because he had registered as one,  simply because on May 8 he would be working.


 


Thuli N Mshongwe who was with a child when voting registrations took place took the courtesy to register as a special voter when she figured that she would be nursing on May 8 she voted today at the comfort of her own home.

Tasneem Motara the Spokesperson for ANC Provincial said  that they have been touring the province in during their Voter Turn Out Plan which will even go as far as starting to ensure that more voters vote from as early as 7 am tomorrow when the IEC stations start operating everywhere.

Florence Tukula, the Presiding Officer for one of the Voting Stations explained that both the national and provincial ballot papers must be stamped on the reverse side to count.
