EFF colours Orlando Stadium red

Malema has spoken to issues of gender inequality, social grants, public service workers' salaries, land ownership and free education.

Orlando was a sea of red on Sunday, May 05  as EFF held its Tshela Thupa Rally at Orlando Stadium.

The EFF leadership was welcomed by zealous supporters at the stadium which is filled to capacity. The EFF president, Julius Malema began his address by thanking all those who have offered their condolences and support following the passing of his grandmother yesterday.

“My grandmother was everything to me. I have lost my confidant,” he said. The CIC however indicated that she would’ve wanted him to be at the rally.

Malema has spoken to issues of gender inequality, social grants, public service workers’ salaries, land ownership and free education. He says EFF will ensure that 50% of land will be owned by women in South Africa.

The EFF also says it will double social grants and ensure that public service workers such as police are paid more to ensure that corruption is decreased.

Malema says the EFF is not racist or violent. “All we want is to eat from the same dinner table as white people and if white people don’t want that then we will make sure that no one eats from that table until we are all equal!” he continued.

Malema has urged South Africans to vote for a younger cabinent on May 8.
