Deputy President David Mabuza campaign in Dobsonville and Meadowlands

Mabuza and his delegates handed large quantities of the ANC T-shirts and flags to the local ANC supporters in Dobsonville who attended the event.

As political parties enter the final lap of the elections campaign- the ruling party pulls all stops as they assigned Deputy President David Mabuza to lead their door to door election campaign recently in Dobsonville.

The former Mpumalanga Premier oblige as he crisscrosses Dobsonville streets, knocking door to door urging fellow Sowetans to vote for his political party.


ANC members painted Dobsonville black, green and gold before DA host their final election rally.

“Important message we are sending out today is that fellow South Africans should come in large numbers to vote on May 8. South Africans must come in large numbers to vote for ANC and people should also remember that voting is important,” said Deputy President Mabuza.

Speaking to the media at Dobsonville Community Park next to the local stadium, Deputy President added that he holds a different view to most experts who predicted that the ANC would battle to get above 51 per cent of votes on May 8 election.



“The crowd that is here shows that people are ready to vote for their favourite party, ANC. I’m confident that we will effortlessly get above 51 per cent majority in these general elections. Our people have confident of the ANC government,” said Mabuza.

The ANC election campaigning in Dobsonville was seen as a tactical move by the ruling party in dispatching their election message two days prior the Democratic Alliance leader Mmusi Maimane delivery of his final election message at Dobsonville Stadium.

The Deputy President Mabuza left the Dobsonville and Meadowlands painted black, green and gold with ANC regalia.
