Westbury High School matriculants dance in elegance

Finally, 2019 Matric Banquet for Westbury High

Westbury High School had their matric banquet on Friday, March 29, and as it is a special day for many matric learners, it was a special night particularly for the Kuhn family who planned out the most extravagant send-off for their son Leeson Kuhn.

His aunt Chantel Bloy also planned for him and his cousin Lorene Reedy to be escorted by Mrs Africa Worldwide 2019, Natasha De Matos. Due to some unfortunate events, Mrs Africa Worldwide was unable to make it. The cousins still had a great send off and surely also an awesome banquet.

The banquet was held early this year and according to Reedy, “It is very good that our banquet is early now we will no longer have to stress about what we are going to wear, our hairstyles and so on. After this, our only focus will be on the exams.”

Mrs Africa Worldwide wanted to be a part of Kuhn’s banquet because he and his family had helped her a lot during her time in the pageant.

“When I was busy with my charity work and fundraising for Mrs Africa 2018/ 2019, they supported me with my endeavours and to host my high teas. Leeson has always been a big fan and that is how I got involved,” said Mrs Africa Worldwide.

Bloy has been friends with Mrs Africa Worldwide for 20 years and also planned most of Mrs Africa Worldwide’s events.

“Natasha works with a lot of children and she has been to Westbury School, she really wanted to give back to the community. She has always given to Westbury and asked me if she could be a part of this,” said Bloy.
