Catch Killy from Soweto in Cape Town for Red Bull Finale this week

Break-dancing his way to the top.

One of Soweto’s very own B-Boy, Lehlohonolo Hato (31) also known as Killy is looking forward to competing for the prize against 19 other B-Boys from around South Africa in the Gravity-Defying Red Bull BC One Breakdance Final.

The B-Boy from Soweto has enough experience by now to understand the hard work and effort that comes with loving break dancing and he is and has always been willing to put in the hard work required to impress any judge.

Killy from Moletsane in Soweto Johannesburg explained that ahead of his competing with the other b-boys in Cape Town for the prize, he has been focused and implementing his daily training programmes on a daily basis.

Hato said, “I work hard as a b-boy to illuminate my unique style when I hit the stage and as a Sowetan, I keep my dancing real and hardcore and very technical.”

The 31-year-old breakdancer started dancing about ten years ago when his brother introduced him to the art, and even though he admitted to leaving break dancing for a while to take part in the more business side of dancing, his heart has always been for dancing.

Hato has recently helped launch a new limited edition bottle for Belvedere, working with an artist and illustrator that once worked with Beyonce during that working process.

Hato explained that Break-dancing is considered as a sport now and that it is dangerous to perfect and pull up some other moves, but he works hours none stop to master his techniques.
