Dobsonville police march against drugs and human trafficking

According to Constable Mzwakhe Xazi drug syndicate advertised their job scam in social media because that is a perfect platform youth inter-react in.

The Dobsonville police and organisations kick-started their drugs and human trafficking campaign at Braamfischerville last Saturday.

They marched in the streets of Braamfischerville creating awareness about drugs and human trafficking which beset majority of disparate unemployed youth of this country.

According to Dobsonville Spokesperson Constable Mzwakhe Xazi, the drugs syndicate often advertise job opportunities earmarked for the youth.

“In most cases, these drugs syndicates want the South African youth to work outside the country promising them to be paid lucrative monthly salaries abroad.



“The unsuspecting youth fall for the syndicate scam and apply for the job advertised,” said Constable Xazi.

He added that the drug syndicate advertised their job scam in social media because that is a perfect platform youth inter-react in.

Constable Xazi said, according to the report made by Baakgi Ba Africa organisation, there is a large number of South African youth arrested for operating as mules outside the country’s borders.

“This is great concern and police are working tirelessly around the clock trying to break the drugs cartel in the country.

” However, the youth should be vigilant when applying for jobs outside the country.
“We urge people with the information about such drug syndicate to come forward.

“This campaign started in Braamfischerville and it will spread across all townships falling under Dobsonville Police Station jurisdiction,” said Constable Xazi.
