74 Learners from Six local schools received stationery packs at Dowling Primary School

the number of beneficiaries this year was again increased to more than double from last year.

Westcode, a Westbury Community Development Initiative is a community-based group (NPO), and is largely self-funded through contributions from its members.

In 2017, Westcode embarked on one of its first missions which is “to give back to the community” with its School Stationery Assistance Project.

15 learners from three of the local schools received stationery packs, and last year, the number of beneficiaries was doubled to thirty.

Due to the unwavering commitment of the Westcode members, the number of beneficiaries this year was again increased to more than double from last year.

A total of 74 Learners from six local schools received stationery packs on February 16 at Dowling Primary School.

Dowling Primary, Westbury Primary, Newclare Primary, Everest Primary, Bernard Isaacs and Westbury Secondary were all represented by their respective principals or teachers.

Among them was Dr Robinson, Mr Marconi, Mr. Sandows, Mr. Berry, Mr. Morgan, and Ms. Potgieter. Of course, the community also assisted in making the stationery event possible, through its generous support of a very successful fundraiser that Westcode hosted late last year.

The sole purpose of the “Dine and Dance” function was to raise funds for this project.

Westcode would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone that supported them, and donations received towards this objective.

We trust that you will continue to support us in our efforts “to make a difference”.

Thank you also to our strategic partner WOW (Women of Wisdom), who prepared and provided the refreshments on the day to everyone in attendance, including the parents who accompanied the learners.
