Khobo said, “It is alleged that the victim was pointed at with a firearm by a man who she knew. He approached her and grabbed her handbag which held all her belongings and an undisclosed amount of money.”

She continued, “We were able to arrest the suspect who is being detained at the Eldorado Park Police Station and is to appear in court soon.”

In another incident, a 25-year-old man was arrested on charges of common assault in Goud Street, Old Eldorado Park.

Khobo said, “The victim of the assault alleged that the man approached her and throw a bottle and a brick at her before assaulting her. The attacker was arrested and is being detained at the Eldorado Park Police Station holding cells until he appears in court,” she added.
