An Indian affair with ‘3 Days to Go’

The film portrays an abusive relationship, gambling, and drug addiction.

Movies@ Gold Reef City had a private screening for the South African family dramedy ‘3 Day to Go’ on January 25. The film is directed by Bianca Isaac which is a 98-minute movie with an age restriction of 13.

The entire plot of the movie goes around a dysfunctional family who gathers after their father passes away, days before his 45th Wedding Anniversary.

The film portrays an abusive relationship, gambling, and drug addiction, there are also characters who are afraid of commitment, a number of characters with insecurities and a sense of still finding their identity, however, with all the seriousness, there is still a little laughter in between the film.



Marketing Manager of Gold Reef City, Feron Somiah, said: “3 Days to Go forms part of Gold Reef City’s commitment to bringing local content and artists to its cinema screens.

“While we offer the latest blockbuster movies from Hollywood and Bollywood, we also bring the best in the local film to our viewers.”

The cast from the film is made up of Leeanda Reddy, Lillete Dubey who is an actress from India, Kajal Bagwandeen, Jailoshini Naidoo, Rahul Brijnath, Jonathan Boynton-Lee, Zakeeya Patel, Pranesh Maharaj, Ashish Gangapersad and newcomer, Kiara Govender.

Guests on the night were welcomed on a red carpet where they had the opportunity to speak and interact with three of the cast members namely: Ashish Gangapersad, Jonathan Boyton-Lee, and Leeanda Reddy. Guests did not fill the cinema however, the ones who were there were quite pleased about the South African Film.
