Clean, bright classes for Day Care Centre

“We are making sure that children are learning in a clean and inspiring environment," YOVA founder Rapelang Semente.

Young Voice Academy (YOVA) members painted the Dobsonville-based Sanalwami Day Care Centre building in an effort to give the centre a facelift and to inspire the children to academic success this year.

According to YOVA founder Rapelang Semente, it is their responsibility to help renovate the day centres they are working with.

“We are making sure that children are learning in a clean and inspiring environment. Children are the future of this country, we should take care of them from a young age so that they could reciprocate their experiences to those who are coming after them.

“The initiative will encourage our future young leaders to be responsible and to know the value of education and studying in a clean environment,” he said.

According to Semente, this is the first initiative of its kind and the group aim to expand it to all day care centres working with YOVA in the near future.

There are over 50 day care centres are working with the academy who stand a chance to benefiting from this initiative.

The Sanalwami Day Care Centre principal, Dimakatso Mbambai said the newly painted creche makes their centre look beautiful.

“The children were excited to be studying in such a clean and colourful environment. The new look environment is good for teaching and inspire our learners to strive for excellence,” she added.
