WATCH: ‘There is wealth in health’
Free Aerobics will be held every Saturday from 7 am to 8 am at Eldomaine Secondary School.
We all know that exercise is important if you want to live a healthy lifestyle. Exercise has countless benefits, which include controlling your weight, reducing the risk of disease, improving your mental health and mood, strengthening your bones and muscles and improving your overall health and appearance.
With skyrocketing gym fees making it near impossible to maintain a healthy physique, Eldorado Park residents can rest assured that they can keep fit for free, all year round.
Dwain Ponsonby has created an indoor soccer arena and gym at Eldomaine Secondary School, said, “Free aerobics has been offered to the community.
“We are venturing into the process of doing a full cross-fit circuit which means that our gym, which is at Eldomaine Secondary School, will cater for the little ones from the age of five as well, exercising will be a family affair and that is always fun.”

“The purpose of the aerobics sessions is to educate the community about self-sustaining exercises. You don’t always need weights, your own body weight will suffice.
“This is also an opportunity for our community to unite and to strive to be healthier together, I believe that a healthy community is a wealthy community,” said Ponsonby.
He also said that the plan for this year is for the indoor soccer arena to be in full use and for residents to make use of the gym and running track.
“The gym is growing by itself, I see new faces every week, this will only be a success if the community makes it one,” he said.
The free aerobics classes start from 7 am to 8 am every Saturday morning and the gym is open from 6 am to 9 pm every day.
“There is security on the premises at all times. I encourage residents to make use of this facility because it is safe. Joggers are being mugged in the streets, rather come and make use of our facility, there is a track one can use too,” he added.
