BellaStone ventures out this year
BellaStone has four part-time employees in Eldorado Park and then each branch has about two employees and as it grows the employees will increase.
Ducell Mogano owns a company called BellaStone and he tells us more about it. The offices are based in Florida but the product is originally from Eldorado Park.
“What we do is we produce custom made decorative concrete wall padding and paving. We actually franchised our business out to five different areas,” explained Mogano.
The business owner further added that their franchise expanse into areas in Cape Town, Johannesburg and Limpopo. BellaStone has been in existence for a year now.
When asked where did the idea come from to start a such a business, Mogano said: “I’ve always like decorating and then I started doing research on different businesses. This was supposed to be a water fountain business but then I found that this one was more profitable. I’m self-taught, I didn’t go study for this.”

We also asked what are the possible challenges of having such a business and Mogano said: “Its construction so it’s tough. There are a lot of people who give the industry a bad name because of the bad services some contractors provide to clients. With us, we give a guarantee and we go back to go check on what we’ve done.”
In the first year of the business, Mogano said that they did not have many challenges but more wins on their side because of the five branches they opened in their first year.
The thirsty one year old wants to encourage the youth to start their own businesses, he explained that finances might be a challenge but the youth should not give up because they started off this business with a R3000 loan.
Mogano has a silent partner in the company and they hope to open up more branches this year. This year BellaStone is planned to be opening in Durban.

“We would like to also go abroad because we have been approached by many people in Africa as well from Australia and Mauritius,” said Mogano.
Since this is a franchise business, Mogano trains whoever is interested in this business and then a new branch is opened.
Currently, BellaStone has four part-time employees in Eldorado Park and then each branch has about two employees and as it grows the employees will increase.
