Goals aplenty so far in 2018/19 KwaMahlobo Festive Games
The final will be played on Saturday, January 5, 2019.
Over 90 goals have so far been scored in the KwaMahlobo Festive Games, which are currently underway in Meadowlands Zone 10, Soweto.
With seven matches a day, Day 2 saw the highest scoring rate with 24 goals registered. On Day 1, there were 16 goals, 14 on Day 3, 15 on Day 4, 14 on Day 5 and Day 6 – bringing the total to 97, so far.
LNB Tax FC has so far scored the highest number of goals in a game when they defeated Meadowlands Rangers 4-0 on Day 3 (Friday, December 21).
The tournament continued on Sunday, December 23, (Day 5) and Monday, December 24, as the competition heads into the business section where only two teams from each of the eight groups will proceed to the knockout stage.
There were no matches on Christmas Day and there will also be no games on New Year’s Day (December 25, 2018 and January 1). The final will be played on Saturday, January 5, 2019.
