New executive to make a positive change

"The newly elected Sanco executive will work hard and refer residents to the relevant department whenever they need assistance," Sihle Sithole.

The South African National Civic Organisation’s (Sanco) Nicholas Molokoane Ward 47 branch hosted a Branch General Elective Conference at the Margaret Gwele Primary School in Dobsonville on November 25.

Sanco Ward 47 chairman Sihle Sithole said that the previous executive did their part in flying the Sanco flag high in the community.

He said, “The newly elected Sanco executive will work hard and refer residents to the relevant department whenever they need assistance. This executive committee will strive to be transparent and accessible at all times in our ward.


Residents of Ward 47 came out i large number during the election of Sanco Branch Executive committee.

“They are still to sit down with the ANC and strategies on how they should help the ruling party in their election campaign.

“However, during the entire exercise we will make sure that the aspirations of the community are not suppressed by the ruling party,” said Sithole.

Newly elected branch organiser Vusi Kunene said that the objective of the conference was to elect a new branch executive.



“The previous executive committee was disbanded because only three members were active.
Kunene said, “We are proud to announce that the top six branch executive committee members were finally elected along with nine heads of department,”

The newly elected branch executive committee will serve for a duration of two years. Among the challenges, they will be tackling include the rampant illegal evictions and the sale of residents’ homes by bogus agents.

“We will cement a working relationship with the local councillor in our ward and remain the mouthpiece of the community on issues affecting them,” he said.
