“I want to encourage everyone here today to take their health seriously. Don't wait until the last minute, if you're not feeling well, get checked immediately.”

She said, “We wanted people to dress up in their favourite attire and go all out. The evening was planned so that people can kick back, relax, unwind and enjoy good company.”

The evening was jam-packed with live entertainment and Alfonzo Freemantle from the Freemantle Dance Company opened the evening with a dance routine which enthralled the audience. Jason Hermanus from Sober Minded – Bliss Productions acted out a short play regarding the issues that coloured people face on a daily basis.

Jermaine Mattross, a comedian from Extension Three, was also featured on the entertainment line-up. General Tuag, a vocalist, delivered a smooth performance with his silky voice.

Maart said, “We wanted to make sure that our entertainment for the evening was very diverse, that’s why we chose not to stick to the normal DJ or band productions.”
