So, do you want to obtain that all-important call centre qualification?

Wesley Kerk said, "We are currently running scholarships for call centre, project management, retail and wholesale as well as the A-plus."

The Institute of Sustainable Risk Management (ISRM) in Eldorado Park Ext 6 is looking for 200 individuals who would like to better their futures.

According to Wesley Kerk from ISRM, unemployment levels in the area are alarming and that ISRM is committed to bettering the lives of the youth and anyone who is currently unemployed. With all the courses being free of charge, there is no reason for youngsters to be sitting idly at home.

Kerk said, “We are currently running scholarships for call centre, project management, retail and wholesale as well as the A-plus.”

He also said that the call centre course is open to 200 individuals who would like to attend.

“The qualification is an NQF level three and it carries 120 credits, it is free of charge. The only requirement is that those who want to apply need to be between the ages of 18 and 27, there is no matric needed so any grade qualifies,” said Kerk.

Grizel Ackerman who will be the facilitator for the call centre course said that the lessons have been planned for and will take place at the Silver Oaks Secondary School.

“In order to register for the course, individuals need to bring along a certified copy of their ID and a contract form will need to be completed upon arrival,” she said.

Kerk said that there are still vacancies for the project management and IT courses. Anyone who is interested in applying can visit the centre at 14 Industrial Crescent in Ext 6.
