Soweto Festival Expo Launched in Kliptown
The Music Festival will be in Kliptown.
The Soweto Festival Expo (SFE), an event that enables the people of Soweto and surrounding areas to come together in a fun and relaxed environment, officially launched their 2018 celebrations on Friday November 16.
Their festivities kicked off with a media briefing which took place in Kliptown, Walter Sisulu Square at the Soweto Hotel.
Brian Temba will be one of the headliners at the last event set to take place on December 2, Thembi Nyandeni (UMOJA), and Solly Vista will be the MC for main events.
Soweto Festival Expo’s new Director, Zama Qampi emphasised on his plans to rebuilding the brand of Soweto Festival Expo and uniting Soweto.
Later in the afternoon, invited guests and members of the media gathered at the Kwa-Lichaba Chesa Nyama Lounge in Orlando for the official launch, where UMOJA gave a “teaser trailer” of what the audiences can expect during their live performances.
UMOJA was at the Soweto Theatre on Sunday, November 18, Film Festival Workshop started on November 19 and ended today, November 21.
Maponya Mall will from November 22 to 25 host the Soweto International Film Festival, Kwa-Lichaba will again on November 25 host Jazz with Food & Wine Expo, Africa Film Workshop will be at the Grace Bible Church on November 26.
Again at the Grace Bible Church on November 30 there will be SMME Indaba and finally, the Soweto Festival Expo Music Festival will be at the Walter Sisulu Square on December 1 and 2.
