CWP embark on cleaning campaign in Protea South

CWP has been helping people in the community with various things if they are not capable of doing them due to illnesses or old age.

Following their campaign of handing over clothes to the needy people recently, The Community Working Project employees went on went on to continue with the cleaning campaign with the aim of keeping their area clean.

The members were cleaning dirt which they claim it was of illegal dumping at near Chris Hani Road in Protea South.

The campaign noted the call of keeping the streets of Soweto clean and rolled up their sleeves and took part in the initiative.



They started by cleaning in that area and are aiming to continue to keep cleaning at other areas.

One of the employees at CWP, Gugu Mavimbela is urging residents to keep their areas clean and continue to maintain the areas which have already been cleaned to be litter free and encouraged them to join the movement of being environmental warriors by making sure that they always keep their streets and homes clean.

She also encouraged all the community to continue to make a difference in the lives of the residents.



She said they will continue with the campaign as they identify areas which need to be up to standard.

Mofaladi Moloi was also part of the campaign and said it is the duty of the community to take care of their area and help in the households whereby the people living in are not capable due to illness or old age.

She said they have been helping people in the community with various things if they are not capable of doing them due to illnesses or old age.
