A crown to better the community

“I strongly believe that the media has the power to touch a million lives and help bring change,” Chantal Mbatha.

A new online radio station for the people by the people to be launched this December. The face of the Radio station has been crowned and awaits the official launch of the new Gauteng Radio Station that will help uplift, present opportunities and open new doors for talented individuals.

According to the CEO and organiser of the event Face of Gauteng radio will help and assist those who are in need. It mainly focuses on the communities of Soweto and deals with issues affecting them.

“It will offer a helping hand to those in need because we believe we are the game changers and it is our duty to bring about change in our communities,” he said.



Modisane said they mainly focus on young people because they believe through someone their age the youth will be motivated. During Christmas, they will be having a drive where they will be donating food parcels and clothes.

The first crown holder Chantal Mbatha who is originally from Zondi said her duty is to serve the people and that could be done by listening to what they have to their concerns and report back to the station so that they can find possible solutions.

“I strongly believe that the media has the power to touch a million lives and help bring change,” she said.

The young outspoken Mbatha said she has a lot of plans for her term as the reigning Queen. One of them will be a workshop for models and upcoming models.
