Learners rewarded for hardworking

"We pride ourselves with the quality of education we are giving our learners and even we have skilled teachers that are dedicated to their work."

Morutathuto learners were being acknowledged by their teachers and the principal on November 1 where they were presenting them with awards.

The school showed acknowledgement to those learners and they realised their efforts since term one till term three.

One of the school teachers Isaac Thobye said, “we want our learners to excel and love their school work also let them compete against their peers so that they aim higher and get used to challenging themselves.

“We pride ourselves with the quality of education we are giving our learners and even we have skilled teachers that are dedicated to their work,” said Thobye.

The school believes in education and want their learners to know that your pride is being educated that is why they believe that such ceremonies will make others realise that they are also capable all they need is to be focused and be dedicated.

Thobye added that this time there was a slide change as they would usually know the top three learners that would always take it all but this time the aim was obtaining 90 per cent in all subjects, even those that did well in extramural activities.

Best Netball player was given to Neo Lefyedi then best athlete was obtained by Thabiso Pilane and also Karabo Seleka received an award in the Maths Olympiad and has been representing the school as far as on Saturday Seleka will be competing provincial.

“To my children, all that I can say is work hard from the first term until the third one because of from then we are monitoring and observing your work, efforts and behaviour,” he added.

An overall achiever Reabetswe Khumalo from Grade seven received two certificates and a trophy from scholar patrol and academically.

She said, “I am proud of myself and it really shows that hard work pays off, nothing is impossible all that is required is understand, focus and ask when you do not understand.”
