Footballing prodigy has a bright future ahead of him

Ndumiso Mbatile is Mofolo resident who attends school at Sizanani Primary School. The 13-year-old boy’s soccer skills are just on another level. The young soccer talent is playing for Soweto Academy and is already garnering praise for his exceptional skills.

His role model is Spanish midfielder Andres Iniesta. The footballing prodigy is known to his fans as Shoti and he plays in the same position as his role model.
Mbatile said that soccer has always been part of his life and he plays with a passion because he wants to pursue the sport professionally. He shared that his biggest achievement was when his team won a tournament at the University of Johannesburg.

“I’m able to manage and balance my school work and soccer. My favorite subject is math because it helps me in solving problems and not only in school but in reality as well.

Young midfield prodigy headed for big things.

“I have respect, discipline and am self-motivated which I believe are all key elements that are required in a soccer player. My family is very supportive of my talent because they know that I don’t neglect my school work.
“I wish to play for Barcelona Football Club and I want to be the first South African to play for this club,” he continued.

Mbongeni Simelani, who coaches the youngster said Shoti is very aggressive when it comes to achieving goals because he is very strong in mathematics and science and when it comes to soccer, he still applies the same amount of effort.

“I believe that he will make it to the Premier Soccer League (PSL) and will represent South Africa internationally one day. I can bet my last cent that he will make it to the top. ”

Simelani added that Shoti has  great support from his parent and he is a self-motivated, respectful and disciplined child.
