WATCH: Soweto East Cluster Police Shine at a medal parade
Police officers honoured for their long service and bravery.
The Soweto East Cluster Medal Parade this year was held at the Walter Sisulu Square in Kliptown.
This prestigious event is held annually to honour and celebrate police officials for their 10, 20 and 30 years of continuous devotion, bravery, dedication, commitment and for their long distinguished service.
Soweto East Cluster comprises five police stations, Diepkloof, Orlando, Kliptown, Eldorado Park and Meadowlands and this year, over 200 police officers were awarded.
Soweto East Cluster major general Patricia Rampota said that honouring and awarding the police officials for their hard work will is also a way of motivating them as being a police is not an easy job.
