A movie night for children at the Gail Britoe Foundation

The children came dressed in their best attire

100 children were treated to a movie night at the Gail Britoe Foundation in Eldorado Park extension two last night.

Laila Babat (14), Robin Jamin (13),
Tachane Oliver (13), Razia Muhammed (14) Britney Solomon (11), Ensley Britoe, Videan Jacobs and Maxine Lennets.

Celeste and Wesley Greaver, who were the organizers, said that the reason why they chose to have a movie night was because many children in Eldorado Park haven’t had the opportunity to go to the movies.

Teandre Cannel (14) and Beverly Bennie (16) came dressed in their best dresses.

“So many of our children don’t even know what the inside of a movie theatre looks like so tonight is all about them, we want them to feel special and have fun,” said Celeste Greaver.

Organisers, Wesley and Celeste Greaver.

The children started arriving at 6pm and walked down a red carpet to show off their outfits.

The children received hot dogs and juice before the movie started and popcorn was provided during the movie.

Celeste Greaver prepared the popcorn for the children.

“The idea behind this is for the children to have a real movie experience, what’s a movie without popcorn?” said Greaver.

Ensley Britoe, founder of the Gail Britoe Foundation said that the movie night was a dream come true.

A tent and chairs was set up for the movie night.

” I have been trying for years to take those who are less fortunate to the movies but tonight the movies was brought to us, this is something our children will never forget,” he said.

Videan Jacobs from the Gail Britoe Foundation handed out hot dogs to the children.

Celeste and Wesley Greaver said that they plan to host movie nights in all the Eldorado Park extensions.
