Hip Hop industry meets Majik

Bringing Magic to the Hip Hop industry.

The 23-year-old Junior ‘Majik’ Mofokeng has a lot to offer in the Hip Hop industry as a music producer, artist and all-round creative. The name Majik, was inspired by basketball player Magic Johnson. He discovered the amazing world of music in 2012 and since then, he never looked back. He says for him, music has always been an escape into his ideal world.

“Music has been an escape into an ideal world, I grew up in what some would see as a rich family but we had a lot of problems. I played instruments and sang in church choirs as a kid and in 2012 I found fruity loops and the rest is history,” he said.

“My sound is very trap, I’d call it alternative or Jugg Trap because it comes with crazy melodies and very soothing hip hop melodies with very hard drums,” said Majik.

His latest single titled ‘Aksa Jola’ is derived from his own reality and follows his breakup story with his girlfriend, he said that he produced his new single at a girl’s house and recorded it while he was having an argument on Whatsapp with the girl.

Aksa Jola promises to be a jam to dance to this coming festive season, given its momentous social media frenzy
following a skit collaboration with 2018 Savanna Comic Choice Awards Newcomer of the year winner, Tsitsi Chiumya, the brand Aksa Jola has driven a social movement under #Aksajola. Majik’s music brings together an incredible burst of energy and overall great new sound.

Majik has over the years worked with artists such as the late Flabba and producing for pH, collaborations that he views as his greatest career highlight. He sampled the late Mac Miller (way before he died) then recorded it with another rapper called Gazii at Raw X Studios, mixed & mastered it.

“I’m trying to inspire and have fun, do great things and get the platinum plaque. I’m bringing high positive energy to all the people especially the kids and my fans,” he said.
